Our History

PEMEC was founded in Hull in 2016 by Wayne Quinn, drawing on 30 years' experience on both the client and contractor sides of engineering and construction. Having seen how design, procurement and construction failures cost clients time and money, Wayne built PEMEC to take full responsibility for the scope.

PEMEC combines in-house fabrication with site installation, keeping control of supervision, safety and workmanship. We hold ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 certification, and site teams hold a CCNSG Safety Passport or CSCS card as a minimum.

PEMEC has grown from a small team into a multidisciplinary engineering and construction firm working UK-wide from its own 25,000 sq ft facility, PEMEC House in Hull.

PEMEC works across low carbon technology, data centres, decarbonisation, food and beverage, waste-to-energy, pharmaceutical, chemical, oil and gas, process, nuclear power and wind power.
